Turner Coatings Facility

Engineered for Industrial Demands

Turner Coatings operates one of Houston’s most capable industrial coating facilities — a 44,000+ sq. ft. operation engineered for precision, throughput, and compliance from the ground up. With segregated blasting, liquid, powder, and FBE zones, plus over 5 acres of laydown yard and streamlined logistics, the facility handles everything from small-batch specialty components to large-scale fabrication packages. Every workflow is built around controlled environments, documented quality, and AMPP-certified inspection to ensure coatings perform the way your projects demand.

About Our Facility

Engineered for performance and built for scale, delivering industrial coatings at the highest standard.

From blasting to liquid, powder, and FBE pipe coatings, each zone operates independently yet seamlessly, ensuring clean transitions, consistent results, and the quality assurance required for OEM, petrochemical, midstream, and heavy industrial projects. Our controlled environments, documented inspection processes, and dedicated material handling systems support reliable, repeatable performance at every stage.

How Our Facility Delivers Quality

Explore the specialized coating environments, processes, and quality systems that power our facility and ensure reliable performance at scale.

Blasting Services

Our facility includes two dedicated blast booths — one full-size booth for structural steel, vessels, and large assemblies, and one medium-size booth for specialized or small-batch runs. Each booth uses fresh media systems to maintain consistent anchor profiles, reduce inclusions, and ensure clean surfaces ready for high-performance coatings. With dedicated staging and material handling support, blasting stays efficient and predictable even at high volume.

Our liquid coating shop is engineered as a controlled, clean environment designed for multi-coat systems, DFT-critical applications, and specialty industrial finishes. High-performance spray booths with proper airflow and filtration protect film integrity and support OEM-approved specifications. We apply primers, intermediates, and topcoats across structural steel, downstream energy, fabrication packages, and industrial components, ensuring accuracy and consistency at production scale.

Our powder coating line delivers production-grade reliability through a large-format powder booth paired with two dedicated cure ovens. One oven is built for oversized assemblies and fabrication packages (30’x15’x15’), while the second (20’x12’x12’) supports smaller batches and continuous workflows. Whether coating carbon steel, aluminum, or specialty alloys, the system ensures uniform film builds, clean, durable finishes, and repeatable output. Controlled application and proper curing maintain consistency at scale.

Our purpose-built FBE coating area supports internal pipe protection for oil & gas, water, and industrial flow systems. The zone maintains controlled application conditions, precise temperature management, and integrated heat-cure processes to ensure proper bonding. Full inspection workflows verify profile, cure, and continuity to deliver smooth-bore internal finishes and long-term corrosion resistance. This dedicated setup provides consistent, specification-compliant results across various pipe sizes.

Quality is integrated into every stage of production through AMPP/NACE-certified inspectors and calibrated instrumentation for DFT, adhesion, profile, salt content, cure, and holiday detection. Each project is tied to documented ITPs, hold points, and customer specifications, offering clear visibility into coating performance and compliance. Robust record-keeping supports audits and long-term traceability requirements, ensuring every component meets its intended service conditions with confidence.

Efficient material handling requires more than forklifts — it requires a coordinated system. We operate heavy, medium, and light forklifts alongside dedicated staging zones and optimized material flow layouts that minimize handling damage and keep cycle times tight. On-site loading areas and our 53’ step-deck transport provide streamlined inbound and outbound movement. This integrated approach simplifies logistics, protects coated components, and keeps projects on schedule.
